Dr. Jagadeesha Poyya is an Assistant Professor at the SDM Research Institute for Biomedical Sciences, Dharwad, India. With a strong academic foundation in Biochemistry, he earned his Ph.D. from Mangalore University, where he also served as a Research Fellow for several years. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of disease, particularly the role of the Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) signaling pathway and its modulation in neurological and ischemic conditions.
Dr. Poyya has contributed significantly to molecular biology and bioinformatics through impactful publications and mentorship of postgraduate research projects. He actively engages in national workshops as a resource person, blending teaching and research excellence to guide the next generation of scientists.
